Its been too long.

The marina I am at in Southampton is a bit of a rip off – their prices are high and the level of service is low. Time to move on you’d think? Not so fast! When I signed up for the year, it was on the understanding that what I was being sold was “Flexible” and that I could “end your [my] contract at any time.” However, when I explored this concept, things were a little different than advertised.

My fault for not reading the extensive and broken up set of Terms and Conditions I suppose, but it is (in my humble opinion) misleading to advertise something in your sales bumf which is technically not achievable in your contractual arrangement. If I wasn’t earning, I would be fighting this tooth and nail.

Time to start planning for next year – big purchase still pending is the Radar Arch, which will support 2 (maybe 4) solar panels and will mean a certain amount of autonomy at sea, or in marinas which do not have a reliable source of electricity!

New rigging and possibly sails to boot too. Going to leave the coach roof and top sides I think, at least for now..!
