Well, week 3 is well under way and the first time I can kick back a little and chill, get normal with this strange life aquatic. All in all it is going well, dogs seem to be ever more comfortable – and so am I. Yes this is not the biggest boat out there, but it is mine and paid for, and that counts for a lot.
Partly out of curiosity, partly out of wonder (wondering how low an offer they’d accept!) I am heading to Plymouth by road on Friday. Going to see a Westerly Corsair which is the bigger brother of my Longbow. About 5′ longer and 3′ wider, it is going to be interesting. It would almost mean starting again upgrading another boat. But this one, if I am correct in my assumption, would be a keeper – main reason? 6′ 6″ headroom, this makes me very happy!! So who knows, I might just be putting Spring Song up for grabs at the very point of “finishing” her, like that ever happens anyway!?!?
We went for a spin down the river, another acclimatisation run for the
Dylan sleeping on Watch (he point blank refused to go back into the cabin)…
While Holly just jumped into her bed and began snoring…!
So, a partial success!?
Fair winds all…
